zoom unveils edge speech recognition enhanced by sensory
Zoom Rooms now provides the ease of voice-activated controls while prioritizing privacy
Sensory Inc., a prominent figure in Edge AI technology, has integrated its TrulyNatural embedded speech recognition software into the latest public beta version of Zoom Rooms available on Android, iOS, MacOS, and Windows platforms.
Thanks to Sensory's technology, voice commands are now functional across all Zoom Rooms platforms. This enhancement allows Zoom-native voice commands to offer broader capabilities, with all processing done locally and not through the cloud. Users in Zoom Rooms can now activate the system by saying 'Hello Zoom' and utilize commands like 'start meeting', 'leave meeting', 'check in', and others, enabling organizations to conduct secure, private, and efficient hands-free meetings.
TrulyNatural, Sensory’s advanced, deep neural network-based speech recognition system, incorporates natural language understanding. Zoom and Sensory have collaborated to utilize TrulyNatural to develop specialized recognizers for common meeting control voice commands. They've also engineered more sophisticated voice functions, such as alphanumeric recognition for entering meeting IDs and passcodes via voice.
